minimalist.lv is an independent, non-commercial knowledge base and software directory created for anyone seeking intentional simplicity in their physical space, digital environment, and mindset.

We believe that perpetual accumulation and constant sensory noise do not lead to fulfillment. Instead, they extract our most finite resources: time, focus, and peace of mind.

Software Selection Criteria

Inspired by the rigorous methodology of Privacy Guides, we do not accept sponsorships or affiliate deals. Every recommended tool is evaluated against strict criteria:

  • No Bloatware: Low memory/CPU footprint and refusal of feature-creep.
  • Local-First & Open Standards: Your data remains stored locally on your device in plain text (Markdown, SQLite, CSV) with 100% offline functionality.
  • Distraction-Free UI: Clean interfaces without predatory dark patterns, upsell modals, or notification spam.
  • Zero Telemetry: Uncompromising respect for privacy and digital sovereignty.

Technical Integrity

This site is built as a 100% static application using Astro. It contains zero client-side tracking beacons, zero advertising cookies, and runs entirely at the edge. The entire codebase and content library are open-source on GitHub.
